Description

From Moab to Green River, from Elephants to the Klondike, and from Geysers to Uranium mines, travel with award-winning videographer David Showalter and discover scenic and exciting locations to explore on a day off, a weekend, or an entire vacation. David shows that the most scenic trails are not always the most difficult to reach if you know where to look. Or you can just ride along from the comfort of your recliner. Squeeze through rocks with only 3 inches of clearance on each side of your vehicle. Hike through canyons only 3 feet wide with walls that reach nearly 100 feet. Watch in amazement as the only cold water geyser on the continent erupts in all its glory. Take a two day trip, 1000 feet below Island in the Sky National Park and 1000 feet above the Colorado River. Drive the infamous Elephant Hill and see scenery unlike anywhere else. See deep inside a uranium mine and witness how the miners labored with pick and shovel. All the trails on this DVD are accessible in a standard SUV; however, some should only be attempted after gaining experience on lower-rated trails. Trails include: White Rim, Elephant Hill, Klondike Bluffs, Gemini Bridges, Buckhorn Wash, Copper Globe, Temple Wash, Reds Canyon, Rods Valley, and Castleton-Gateway Road. Run time is approximately 40 minutes.
